Data Justice Lab at AoIR conference in Montreal

Lab members Joanna Redden and Arne Hintz will be in Montreal this week for the annual conference of the Association of Internet Researchers (AoIR). We’ll present findings from our ongoing project Data Scores as Governance about the use of data analytics by government and public authorities in the UK.

Joanna will also participate in a panel on algorithmic governance and Arne will present the new book Digital Citizenship in a Datafied Society which he wrote with fellow Lab members Lina Dencik and Karin Wahl-Jorgensen and which will come out this month. Finally, he will participate in the AoIR post-conference Networking Global Communication which will celebrate the work of Canadian scholar Marc Raboy and discuss current issues in global communication, public service media and media policy.
