Data Justice Lab presents its work at ECREA 2018 conference

All four DJL co-directors will be in Lugano, Switzerland, this week for the biennial conference of the European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA). Lina Dencik, Joanna Redden, Arne Hintz and Emiliano Trere will present results from the ongoing projects Data Scores as Governance, Data Policies, and Data Harms, and discuss the connections of this work with the broader research fields of digital communications, media activism, media regulation and democratic participation.

Lina will open the conference with a keynote speech on data justice. And Lina and Arne will present their new book Digital Citizenship in a Datafied Society at a dedicated book launch event.

It will be a busy conference for us, and we’re looking forward to discussing our work with a wide range of scholars at Europe’s largest media and communication conference.
