On 12 November, Data Justice Lab co-Director Arne Hintz contributed to a workshop held by the Austrian civil society organisation Commit on the topic When Algorithms Discriminate: Social Justice in Times of Datafication. The event brought together members of Austrian civil society, academia, and adult education institutions to discuss strategies for advancing literacy and adult education on the theme of data justice. The exploratory workshop served to share information on, and understandings of, data justice, and discussed how to develop literacy and educational models on what remains for many an abstract issue.
