Lab Fellows investigate data harms and conflict areas

Two Data Justice Fellows joined us (remotely) in February and are currently working on fascinating projects that explore new dimensions of data justice

Ira Anjali Anwar investigates the right to self determination in the age of big data and is currently developing a data justice charter for conflict areas. She is based in India and has worked with organisations such as IT for Change on advancing social justice in the context of technological change.

Carolina Onate Burgos explores algorithmic bias and data-based harms in Latin America. A recent Cambridge graduate, and originally from Chile, she has been working as a lawyer on issues of data protection and technology policy.
